    This is an AZ car with a clear AZ title so it's the first registration in CA.
    CA DMV is going to hit you up for Smog check, a weigh in (current weight from a state certified scale station) & they will do a inspection of the car too (basicly seeing if all the lights. wipers, & other misc stuff works) & peeping the engine bay aswell.

    Its not too hard, I've done this before when I bought a 99 Tacoma from PHX for dirt cheap & registered it w/cali plates.

    btw, u got ur Califas License already, hook up, 7th & Alvarado in LA, Florance & Pacific in HP, & Main & 4th st in Santa Ana...

    I dont have my cali license either. Do they check if the horn works, thats the only thing that doesn't work on her car. Do they weigh the car there or you have to get it weighed prior to bringing it in? Any ide how much it's gonna run for a 97 Jetta?

    iirc, for the weigh in, the place I went to charged cheap, but then again a hit up a recycling yard in South Central LA, lol. About the horn, check the fuses, see if its gorunded or do whatever it takes to work, sometimes they dont even check at all, but then again the lady that checked my tacoma checked oil, tranny, brake, coolant, ps, & washer fluids too...

    Damn. Sounds like a lot of bullshit to register an out of state car in Cali. If I would have know, I wouldn't have bought the B13. I'm gonna have mine checked out at AAA, so I'm hoping they'll be a bit more chill about the process. The guy didn't mention getting the car weighed either.

    between those 2 do you think they would be able to accomodate parking a g in their driveway/garage for a few weeks

    basically i bought a g in glendale,ca but need help i can get it delivered to whoever in the areas house but i have to wait a few weeks before i can fly out to get it. kind of busy


    but if i cant find anyone i will have no choice but to fly out sooner.

    Btw, I'm like 20-25 miles or 20-45 mins away from dt glendale. But I do live next door to LAX, but if you decide just to fly in & roll out, I suggest you to fly in Burbank airport instead.

    Casual, if you do fly into LAX & need a lift, lmk coz like I posted earlier I live like right next door to lax, lol.

    Also, what I ment about flying into Burbank was because bubrank is next door to glendale.
