The rear calipers on my P11 GT are well past their sell-by-date. EBC list original refurbished rear calipers for the 2litre P10. Doesnt anyone know if these will fit the P11????

I know the US ones are not, but i though that the Euro model P10's had larger rear brakes than we got. That being said I dont know the specifics.
The reason I was asking is that EBC list the same rears pads for the P10 and P11 petrol models for Europe. I dont know if they are the same in the USA??
Pads are the same, calipers not.
The handbrake cable brackets sits in a different place.
Nightmare.
I have been using some spare P10 rear pads in my (5/00 mfg date) '00 P11 since 9/08.
They probably are from an old Autozone "loaded pair" of calipers I bought, just to get the cheapest pair of calipers.
I usually toss the pads that come with one of those deals, or offer them free to a forum member in need. They're usually not much better than the old leather brakes on early model T's.
But they sit there & don't make noise & keep the brake pedal firm so..
They are working just fine. Absolutely no problems. Parking brake's perfect. All good.
Just didn't feel like spending the bucks on all new rotors & AXXIS ULT's, etc., at the time.
I will be completely re-doing my brakes & suspension in a couple weeks.
It is true that there are different part numbers for P10 & P11.
I looked at a diagram & spec sheet before doing this, and my conclusion was that the difference was a few mm of thickness.
In my hand, comparing the two, I could tell no difference. There was no difference in fit or function placing them in the caliper, either.
It appears to me that: ( P10 rear pads, new) = (P11 pads w/ 5,000 miles, or so, worn off)
So, in conclusion, I would say order the correct pads for your year. Why wouldn't you?
But, for the rear brakes, if you're broke and all you have on hand are some extra P10 pads, they'll get you by.
