I remember something like a 10 pound weight savings going to carbon fiber hood FWIW but we haven't put on our CF hood YET and reweighed the car so its speculation at this point

For the P11, the CF hood is WAY Lighter than stock hood, at least 20lbs

eat less. every pounds of body weight keeps the car run slow.

my p10 hood/trunk weight like 30-35lbs total combined, CF...

Also if the driver can afford to loose some weight it wouldnt be a bad thing.

It was way easier for the p10 to loose 500lbs instead of the driver.

I've decided I'm going to wait till I get the LSD trans in it before I weigh it again. But I should be somewhere about 2261 empty currently.

I've weighed snickers from a dead shell with nothing in it and missing most of its useless steel. I think it was 452lbs. that was with the rear tail lights and front windshield. I added back the weight of everything that is going back in and I figured it should be about 1900lbs...

As far as removing weight from the car, you need to decide if you want it to be a street and comfort car or a raw stripped car. there really isnt much of an inbetween.

sorry for the slow updates but i've been taking alot of extra shifts at work and been getting mad overtime,

so last night after work and working on my girls car my girl and me went to work on my car and took off the gunk off the floor and after trying a few minutes with a hammer and chisel i took a tip from here

    http://www.motoiq.com/MagazineArticl...roGutting.aspx

and went and bought some dry ice and and hammered and peeled off the gunk, took a while but alot less than trying to chisel the crap off.

I'm trying real hard to figure out where that came from... I've never gutted a car, so I wouldn't really know.

I do however wish to keep the carpet jdm bumpers are alot lighter than usdm and I still need my CF trunk. I will prolly piant hood and trunk.
Im also going to make a aluminum exuast. Vibrant sells a aluminum muff I know charelss has them to.. aluminum Is actually cheeper than ss and is lighter and does not rust at all
