Brian's (G2BENVD) 2002 Sport Infiniti G20 ![]() click image(s) to enlarge G20.net: How, when & why did you first acquire your Infiniti G20? G2BENVD: I work near an Infiniti dealer and I would pass all the pre-owned cars everyday and at the time I had a ’87 325i convertible and a ‘98 Ford Ranger (2wd) neither car was good in the winter and even though both cars were in excellent shape I needed to down size to 1 car and find something new. So I stopped in to price out a 01 Touring (AUTO) and 02 Sport (AUTO) I wasn’t too happy that they were an automatic but I got prices and ended up leaving, Im glad I did, Later that week I went looking on cars.com and found a 02 Black sport 5spd and a 02 Sport Maui (AUTO). I went to look at both at another Infiniti dealer, I ened up putting a downpayment on the Black sport and its coming up to almost 4 years I've had it. ![]() click image(s) to enlarge G20.net: What were your original plans for the car and have they changed? G2BENVD: My original plans were to mod the hell out of the car, which is what I am currently doing. I actually was surprised on how rare aftermarket stuff was and how exciting it is to find something new and different when I first got the car. ![]() click image(s) to enlarge G20.net: What performance modifications have you made to your car? G2BENVD: I just started getting into modding the car for a little more performance, I currently have JWT Pop charger w/ aluminum piping, JWT S3R cams, SSAC 2.5 header, Magnaflow cat back exhaust, and SAFC 2, and advanced timing, Taylor 8mm wires, denso iridiums, Mautui’s ground kit, Brembo 4 piston calipers, Brembo pads, TWM Short shifter and weighted knob, Energy suspension shifter bushing, and a Exedy stage 1 racing clutch. ![]() click image(s) to enlarge G20.net: Do you have any dyno numbers? G2BENVD: Before I installed my headers and did the timing advance and the SAFC2 I was dynoed at 141, more recently I was dynoed at 152. ![]() click image(s) to enlarge G20.net: What suspension modifications have you made to the car? G2BENVD: I am currently running on Eibach springs, KYB Gr2’s, top shocks mounts, Energy suspension sway bar endlinks and energy sway bar greasable bushings, Stillen front and rear strut bars, and ADDCO rear sway. ![]() click image(s) to enlarge G20.net: Any cosmetic modifications to the exterior? G2BENVD: The exterior is my favorite, it’s the first thing everyone sees, I currently have- Carbon fiber hood, Ericdd’s fiberglass impul grille, 20% tint, TEV front bumper, JDM duals with 8k HID kit, Ericdd’s carbon fiber eyelids, G20.net license plate frame front and rear, Unitop rear window spoiler, smoked tails, 18” Enkei ESV wheels, wrapped in B.F. Goodrich G-forces, 10 mm spacer on the rear wheels to help even them up, blacked out rear marker lights, and smoked fender lights, large Infinti logo and to top it all off the Offical “S” logo. ![]() click image(s) to enlarge G20.net: How about the interior? G2BENVD: The interior stayed pretty much the same since the seats look awesome, I did however put 3 extra autometer gauges in 2 on the pillar and 1 where the cup holder used to be by the shifter, Infiniti all weather floor mats, and a new rear view mirror with compass and auto-dim, AE Maxima pedals, Subaru WRX dead pedal. ![]() click image(s) to enlarge G20.net: Have you made any upgrades to the stock sound system? G2BENVD: The sound system was my second mod after wheels, I went a little crazy, I gutted the entire interior and extreme dynomat’d the floors, and I used the tar/foil roofing stuff which looks like dynomat and did the doors, trunk, and everything else, I put Infinity Kappa speakers all the way around and powered them with a 4-way 400 hundred watt amp which is powered by an Alpine deck with ipod controls, Optima yellow top (trunk mounted) and also have 2 Alpine S12’s in a q-logic box in the trunk powered by a 800 watt Rockford amp. ![]() click image(s) to enlarge G20.net: Any future modifications we should look out for? G2BENVD: I would love more then anything to go turbo, but I just got married and am moving into a career so it might not happen, but I still would like to get a WW Lip, install a resonator, suede headliner and customize the trunk a little more. ![]() click image(s) to enlarge G20.net: How and when did you first find G20.net? G2BENVD: I actually found it on google, I was looking for a guage pod for my pillar, and ended up stumbling onto kevin’s (domiken) page and that day I signed up and its been almost everyday I check new posts hoping for something new for sale or checking out everyone else’s rides. ![]() click image(s) to enlarge G20.net: How has this site benefited you? G2BENVD: I was able to take a normal car and make it into something different an eye catcher, without all the help from everyone I don’t think I could ever have done this. ![]() click image(s) to enlarge G20.net: Any last comments you would like to make? G2BENVD: Again thank you everyone for all the help, and keep G20.net goin everyone sponsor up!!!!
