I had heard a few rumors about this but clearly it's come to be. I wonder how this will effect McLaren in the future?

With no KERS next year.. I'm curious to see what will happen with McLaren...?

For Merc to leave Mac is a massive deal. How could Merc be that confident after so many years with Mac? They must know something we don't. The Silver Arrows are in effect!!!

From what I understand 80% of the engines for next year will be coswerths. BMW as of the end of 09 season still had not finished negotiations to replace Sauber as partners and had no official ruling from the FIA about continuing next year.As far as the USA based F1 team they will have no American drivers at first. I suspect the will spend the first year just trying to compete and then start a driver development plan. Funny part is they are based out of Charlotte,NC Take that NASCAR F1 right in yur back yard! Chassis will be completely new for 2010 as the new sporting regs will no longer permit refueling during the race. No more pit strategy to get first place. Will definitely be a real interesting season. Cant wait for it to start.

That is right, no refueling.. but they will still swap tires..

AS for Cosworth being the main engine supplier.. that seems crazy. The last time they had their motors in F1, they kept breaking (as I remember). I hope this time it's better.

Though Ferrari and Mercedes will still be supplying motors...so things won't be THAT different (from a motor point of view).

I would have to say that Alonso behind the wheel of a Ferrari will be extremely tough to beat. He made that dog of a Renault shine. Just imagine what he can do now.

Testing in Valencia and Jerez are completed

The new Lotus launced today. A darkhorse for sure but I'm a big Heikki Kovalainen fan.
Hopefully Gascoyne has penned him a good mount

10 cars have now revealed their new entrants including 2 of the 4 new teams on the grid

I have complete faith in Peter Windsor's (ours?) USF1 team and expect him to pull the rabitt out of the had. I suspect at this point he is just trying to further get under Bernie Eccelstone's aging skin!

damn i had to wait 3 days to chime in here cuz i didnt get to watch it till last night, i didnt want to see who won. damn this season is gonna be crazy. the pit stops, team changed, return of the king is all gonna add up to one of the greates seasone ever.
