APRIL 2008 SOG Meet

We're finally having a meet in 2008? YES! And this time let's hope it's warmer than the January '08 meet!

OK, so no colourful introduction/lead-up to this meet. This winter has been just too long! So what better way to hail in the good weather, than a meet! It's a little too short notice to arrange a meet at some one's place, so it looks like we need to come up with a place to meet instead. Any suggestions would be welcomed! Keep in mind, let's not pick a place that's going to cost us a mint to eat/drink at.

The 411:
DATE: SUNDAY APRIL 13th, 2008
TIME: 2:00pm - ???
LOCATION: Boston Pizza <---- Click on hyper Link for Google Map
ADDRESS: 180 Rimrock Rd, North York (Just off Allen Rd, North of Sheppard Ave W)

Very basic directions:
  • From the East/West: Take the 401 to "Allen Rd North" Exit from Hwy 401. It's about 4 km north of the 401. There's also a McDonald's in the same plaza (sorry guys, we're too big to use the indoor playground)

  • For the rest of you, look at the Google map & figure it out! LOL You've got Google map!
Attendees:
1. Loco
2. slimlou
3. ethandelacroix
4. MegaSoreAss
5. ahwai
6. TINOG20
7.
8.
9.
Etc...

As you sign up, 'cut and paste' from above the "ATTENDEES" to then end of this list.

Sign up fast, sign up soon! Let's get this list going ASAP! We'd like to know in advance #'s.

Sorry to see you are selling the Bumper, if I had the $ I would buy it :) I just installed my 2000 P11 meshies for the winter, they look nicer than my summers! lol and I installed my KR4 P11 Mud Flaps sorry Ky I know you were interested in the rare item but after installing the wheels and mud guards the car looks newer :) I also did some rust repair all day yesterday a decent job before the summer :)

5 day forecast not too bad considering winter is fast approaching, Thought to throw it out if anyone is up for a meet either this Fri. or Sat.? If so any ideas for a new spot maybe even do the unthinkable and grab a beer with wings

haha tino, i do have my eye on them, but if you put them on and u like it then thats cool :D

sorry haven't been on for a bit, really busy at work. I can't make it out this weekend, i'm heading to vegas on friday :D so i'll be gone all week.

lou, u want to set up any night week of nov 14 to meetup? anywhere near 401 and kennedy is fine, i live like 5 minutes drive away

Hey Lou nice that you are installing the duals. I still have your connectors, I wouldn't mind seeing how it would be set up from plug and play. Let me know thanks man.

( unless you just don't want to invite because you're greek and I'm I-talian :)

So I take it no meets until 2012? Are we able to safely say this group is now an online forum group? :teeth: seems to be for the past year anyway. I know everyone is busy in their lives, just thought coffee meets or even the past winter beer and wing meets would have lasted a lot longer. I blame Joe ( Ape technique ) ever since he sold his G for a Mazda, the cool Filipino with the granny cart had the tattoo thug mojo to keep meets in check lol Right Joe :)

Ok no problem man, hey any luck on hood struts? I want to see where I can buy them for my P10 and P11, I saw this one from Ericd's web site:

Pep Boys part # Sg327001
http://www.g20style.com/How_to Convert to hydraulic hood lifts.htm
Rock Auto has that part #
http://www.rockauto.com/dbphp/x,catalog,36,partnum,SG327001,d,Sachs_SG327001.html
I found these as well less expensive but not sure of the quality:

Most of them stating trunk lid does it matter aren't they all the same?

let me know when you can thanks man.

Thanks man so far how long have you had on your car for? Any issues with the brand you bought from ebay? I saw these before and not bad for the price. But in the past on ebay, Tawain parts I've purchased were not the greatest quality so I wanted to double check with your experience buying these. Thanks for the help man.:teeth:

Hey Tino

We're still getting settled and the house is half empty but this has been a great community to live in so far.

I have to say though that I don't have a garage... just a parking pad, so I'm looking for storage alternatives for the altima as my parents will be selling their home soon.

As for the Altima. Not much has happened. Kind of on hold right now while I pay off my student loans and mortgage.

Speaking of which. What do you guys know about the 2012 C class? I heard the 3.0 and the 3.5 are brand new?

Haha no problem man, anytime I see a good G20 I post it on here :teeth: There are a few members lingering around on here so hopefully someone will check out your ad :) Even if you don't sell it we try to organize meets from time to time, although mind you everyone is so busy right now, it's usually a forum group right now, but I still hang out with some G20 owners and other Nissan car forums.

On another subject too bad this meet is 1 day 24 hrs away looks like one of the biggest in the west coast would be cool to do a cruise down there man :teeth:

The spare set I have are for 55W ballasts. I'm not sure how well they'd work with 35W ballasts if that's what you have. Worst case, I could find you a set on eBay. I've gottime to search for the best deal.
how about 9PM this thursday night at the kennedy commons timmy?
9pm Thursday works for me. Hopefully it won't work for Tino... ;)

Hey fellow SOG members, I'm throwing out a challenge to you all for this years Toys for Tots 2011 Toy Drive. As of this post, it was only $338. Let's show them how generous their Northen Brothern really are! I'd love to see us donate at least $250. I've started our goal by donating $50. I may not be working, but no reason kids should go without during Christmas. Send your paypal payment to toysfortots2011@gnet. And don't forget, include your Gnet username & SOG in the subject line and/or the note section along with your payment!

Ian, my bad! The wedding isn't until next Saturday, but I need to be in Brampton for 11am tomorrow… err today since it's 1:26am as I type this. As for Sunday, I'm free in the morning. I used the wiper puller today on Stewart's parts car. It works great! lol

I'm going to see if I can shorten the time I spend in Brampton. Hopefully you can give me a call or maybe we can meetup quickly before 10am today (Saturday)??

#3,106 ·
Ian, I've got a busy weekend, but we could meet up possibly tomorrow? Even with my gift of gab, I can easily explain what you need to do in 10 minutes. Let me find my wiper puller as well. It'll make pulling the arms easy as pie.

So little Guido, you got the rad support fixed, cool. Did they do it as we discussed?

Hey Rory, if my work situation hadn't changed, I would have liked to go. I never been to the motorcycle show.

Also, the challenge still stands!!! Donate to Toys for Tots drive!! Heck even if it's as little as $5-10, every bit helps!!!
