Eric's (Ericdd) 1999 Infiniti G20t

G20.net: How, when & why did you first acquire your Infiniti G20?
Ericdd: When I saw the ad on TV for the P11 for the first time, I knew I wanted that car. I just had to sell the car I owned at the time, which took some time. Then I had to find the perfect G20 (silver touring 5speed w/ black leather). Finally in September 1999 it all worked out, I sold my car and found what I was looking for

G20.net: What were your original plans for the car and have they changed since?
Ericdd: I originally planned to just leave it stock with a small stereo. The original thing I like about the G20 was it came from the factory, pretty much how I set up my previous car. Then one day I got a flat tire and decided to put some rims on it, after that it snowballed.

G20.net: What performance modifications have you made to your car?
Ericdd: Stillen 4-1 Header, Stillen CAI w/ custom MAF-TB pipe, 91’ intake cam, ASP under-drive pulley, 2-1/4” custom bent Magnaflow cat-back exhaust, 19* timing, slightly Bored MAF, 95’ G20 ECU w/ 7500 rev limiter, Lightened factory flywheel, Pacesetter short throw shifter w/ es bushing

G20.net: Do you have any dyno numbers?
Ericdd: Not yet but I hope to soon

G20.net: What suspension modifications have you made to the car?
Ericdd: Stillen strut tower Brace, B&G Sport lowering springs, KYB-AGX adjustable shocks, Koni bump stops, Cross Drilled and slotted Brake rotors, 17" Racing Nippon version 5

G20.net: Any cosmetic modifications to the exterior?
Ericdd: Wings West Front Lip & Shaved front bumper grill, Custom Sport Grill & Mesh behind lower grill, Black 2002 Sport Headlights w/ Custom Black Stealth Corners, Cleared rear signals, Clear front bumper lenses from Altima, Clear 2002 side marker indicators all custom tinted, RGM headlight brows, Shaved Trunk Emblems, Updated rear bumper exhaust trim from 2000, PIAA plasma blue headlights & xenon yellow fogs, Mercedes sport emblems, Tinted windows, License plate holes filled & Squirters painted, Color matched sunroof visor, Black chrome oval exhaust tip, And a lot of engine dress-up

G20.net: How about the interior?
Ericdd: LED Shift light behind center vent, Custom Shifter plate gauge holder w/ Autometer Air/Fuel & Volt Gauges, Custom Steering column gauge holder w/ Autometer EGT gauge, Blue Led lights in all Gauges, Custom Indiglo style needles using LED's, Ichiban gunmetal foot pedals and dead pedal, Black chrome shift knob w/ blue LED, All Blue dash lights and blue under dash neon, Flip down TV custom molded into overhead Map-light panel

G20.net: Have you made any upgrades to the stock sound system?
Ericdd: Alpine head and changer, Alpine 5 channel amp custom mounted in a fiberglass Enclosure, 3 JL audio 10w6 subs, JL audio components front and rear

G20.net: Any future modifications we should look out for?
Ericdd: Yeah, but If I listed them I’d be here all day. I’m constantly looking for new thing to do to my car, I try to stay original and make things custom as much as possible. I’m in the process of a few things now, but I don’t like to tell in case it doesn’t work out.

G20.net: How and when did you first find G20.net and how has this site benefited you?
Ericdd: I’m one of the originals. I started way back in the automotive forum days, and one the switch was made I came with it

G20.net: Any last comments you would like to make?
Ericdd: Thanks to G20.net for inspiring me and keeping me on my toes. If it wasn’t for you guys upping the bar I would probably still have a stock G20.

The Grand daddy of all G's meaning (dare I say) by far the best one out there. So clean, yet so different. He's my hero!
