transmission clunk

I have an Auto p11 and lately i have noticed when it is shifting from 1st to 2nd it clunks and kinda lags. So i was wondering if that is my transmission going out? or do i just need to get it flushed?
Thanks

im pretty sure this is common for our auto trannys. Flush the fluid, get a grounding kit and it'll feel better.

I have the same problem on my P11 as well. I really thought that the transmission was going to give out.

I'm testing the Valvoline MaxLife synthetic ATF in my P10 to see if it will help to keep this clunk from becoming an issue. I need to make myself a couple of more grounds, as well.

If it hasn't ever been flushed, you might make more of a mess for yourself by flushing it now at 140K. Do you know if it's ever been flushed?

I would stay away from that synthetic atf. Just stick with the regular dexron 3 atf.

I usually don't like to stray too far away from the norm, but we've had very good results with the MaxLife in customers' vehicles. It's the only synthetic ATF I'd use.
