Anyone have pics of their starter being swapped out?
I cant find any pics. I had my car for soooo long and after 300k my starter goes bad. Can you you lead me to where I could find it? Can i see it if all the intake tubes are gone?

The only things that you can see are once the intake tubing & junk is out of the way are the 2 bolts that hold the starter. You can't really see it from the top. You can see it from underneath the car, though.
Even though this was done on a 2000 Nissan Sentra SE, it will pretty much be the same deal on your P10. http://www.b15sentra.net/forums/show...hlight=starter ^ The only bitch about the P10 is the rear "V" brace that's kinda in the way. you'll know it when you go underneath the car. |

take off your intake and it will be pretty easy to see. Ive got my engine out so i snaped a couple pics for you. under the intake you will see these two bolts that i have sticking out
![]() You undo those and then pull the starter out, this is what the other side looks like

The alternator should be the harder job. I've heard the starter job can be tricky when it comes to putting the starter back in the engine. You might need two people to do it, one to hold it and one to do the bolts. I've never done either so I can't say.

^^^ Thats one documentation^^^
Ok hmmm looks like i may try to tackle this task if its easier than the alternator. Looks like remove the 2 bolts from up top and wiggle it out from the bottom call for help to hold it in place and WALA all done.....Geeeez I wish it would work like that. |

Pretty simple one you find the two bolts, I did it by myself a few weeks ago. I had to remove the intake mani y brace, but stil pretty simple job. Make sure you have a U joint handy, makes life easier.
