if they are the brembos then its a direct bolt on and will give you better stopping power, there are many people on here that have done so

...just keep in mind that the brembo brake upgrade means you've just limited your wheel choices as well. (you can never go back to 15" wheels much less 14" and so far I've only seen 1 set of unique 16s that fit and even most 17s won't work )

Brembo brakes were not available on the 2002 or 2003 SpecV and did not appear until 2004 SpecV

I'm not the authority on SpecV though so I don't know if it was a standard SpecV thing starting with 2004 or an option so I'm sure someone else can chime in.

The brembo option is very obvious though FWIW. They will be gold calipers with BREMBO imprinted right on them for the front (the rear are not brembo IIRC)

..AND although the rear is slightly different, my understanding is the rear upgrade is only an option on the p11 and won't just bolt right onto the p10 (same reason why p11 rear brakes cannot just be installed on a p10 for example)

incorrect

The g20 sport rims are only 16" and will NOT clear specV brembo brakes.

Like I said, I have only heard of 1 set of specialized rims in 16" to clear the specV brembo brakes.

You will need to find 17s (because my understanding of that 1 lone set of 16s that fit aren't even made any more and were a fluke/luck to find for that one person) -- you can do some searching here to try to find that post/thread (It MIGHT be on the brembo club thread but I don't remember). ..and BTW, NOT ALL 17s clear either so do your research before you buy!!! For example, the 17" factory 2002 or 2003 SpecV wheel does NOT clear the brembo specV brakes of 2004!!!!!

The wilwood's do fit on the sport rims, right? If so, that may be an option for you.

I'm just guessing you want the free brakes from your friend instead

DOH.. Yeah, those wheels would have worked...

You can always do the p11 brake upgrade (cheapest, fastest, easiest without even touching the calipers -- just change rotors, carriers and pads and improve the braking on the p10!)

OR are you talking about a p11 in the first place?

okay, to improve braking, have you considered going SS Brake lines 1st? and improving the brake pads you are using (doing a full flush of the system and possibly upgrading brake fluid?)

You'd be surprised what SS brake lines can do for braking feel for example.

no worries.

It seems Techafit is the company to talk to about custom applications (see other brake-line thread here for details) and apparently the only company willing to work with g20 owners so far (goodridge wouldn't give us the time of day when I tried to get them to make modifications for better fitment for example)

and upgrade on brake fluid would be ATE gold or ATE super blue (good for up to 4 years in a street vehicle but only good for a few track events before needing to be bled in that application)

ATE Gold or ATE Super Blue. www.ogracing.com sells it for $10.95 a bottle IIRC (that's what I would recommend for someone who want's to keep it in a street car for 2-4 years)

YES, the SpecV rims fit p10 and p11 fine.. BUT the 2002 and 2003 specV rims will NOT fit over the 2004+ specV Brembo brakes is what I was trying to get at.

Those 16" that fit, are you talking about the Regamasters? I know a couple of other high dollar wheels (TE37, SSR Type-C both 16x8) that fit over brembos. Being forged and having small, thin spokes is always a plus.

If you REALLY wanna know what wheels fit, head over to the B15forums. They'd be glad to help you out.
