Did some searching but couldn't find any info on how to ...

Anyways, the alarm goes off by itself periodically and I don't want to chase down all the wiring harnesses and whatnot so ...

How do I permanently disable the alarm without goofing up anything on the car?

Unplug the sensors. I think all default to a closed state when disconnected. Then reconnect them one at a time over a period of time to test for the faulty one.
I don't recall if the security system is on it's own fuse or not. You could also disconnect the siren

Found a little bit of info. The theft module located under the drivers side kick panel. It's directly to the passenger side of the steering column. Apparently, if you pop it open you'll find a green/yellow wire which you can either disconnect or run to ground. Confirmation on this?
