hi guys i'm new to this site ,,, I just bought a 99 infiniti G20t with a bad automatic transmission, does not go in Reverse Gear and also slips when going from 1 to 2 . . . . i've been checking on used trans but every where i call they told me that Only a 99 g20t trans will fit . . . IS that ture?
why cant i replace it with a 2000 to 02 trans? are they really that different.
what do i have to do to make 00-02 transmissions Fit ?

please dont double post your question, the problem is that your 99 tranny comes with a LSD ( limited slip differential ) hence the T( touring) model that you own..

Other G's like the non-t version do not have the LSD so you wouldn't want to add that transmission into your car because of parts and placement issue
