P11 Acceleration Problem - hesitation - UPDATE page 2

My car is a Nissan Primera 1998.

The car idles normal, sometimes just a little bit lower than 700rpm but nothing extreme. The problem is when I start to drive it normally, the car starts to do like some pauses in the rpm range (hesitations), the feeling is like when you turn on and then turn off your A/C, but it does not impede to go through the rpm range until reach the rev limiter. The pause or hesitation doesn't appear at full throttle (WOT)
I can rev the engine freely in neutral, and there isn't any hesitation. its when i drive the car that the weird hesitation appear.
I already change the knock sensor

let me know your opinions about it..

I'm not sure on the Primeras, but it sounds like a MAF (Mass Airflow Sensor) issue. The MAF is located next to the air filter housing.

You need to remove the MAF and clean it with MAF cleaner. ONLY use MAF cleaner. Nothing else!

Does this look like your car?

replace the MAF.

quick story - I had hesitation problems. Picked up some MAF cleaner and a MAF of a junkyard donor. Cleaned both MAF's and re-installed my original MAF. Still had hesitation. Swapped it with the freshly cleaned junk yard donor and no more hesitation.

Sometimes they just go bad and no amount of cleaning will help.
update..

change the MAF... and the issue is still there... i don't know what else to do- :(

any other sugestion?
Is the engine light on? Sounds to me the idle air control or tps is junk. There is a relearn procedure after installing a IAC on an RR motor.

Nop the CEL is not on... do you have any link where i can check that procedure?
thanks in advance
also check for dry rotted vac hoses they are the little gremlins...i had odd power loss intermitantly & then when i pulled everything apart the vac lines for egr/bpt were all jacked & 1 was completly severed

fixed it...she roared...untill i put her down....

ohh wow...it has been 2 years. now
The re learn procedure can be found on many forums. If you had your ECU disconnected it may have lost its memory for the IAC. There should be an engine light on with it running how you explained, hopefully it didn't fry the ecu. I've had that happen on an 02 sport.
