my shifter is really hard to move when the car is super cold. it think its just cause the oil is really thick. was the same way in my mustang

My gears are a bit difficult when it's really cold out too, it's just because the gear oil is thicker at lower temperatures. Once I drive it for a bit, it's fine.

yea we've been gettin near zero lately and mine does the same thing. feels like there's playdough in the tranny instead of oil, my cable squeals, and my clutch isn't too willing to grab. i had somebody tell me you wanna let it run for a bit before driving like that, so my solution has become i start my car, go back inside and brush my teeth, then it's usually good to go. and i'm also going to switching to a synthetic oil soon, i've heard they're not supposed to get as thick in the cold and warm up faster.
