put it on today.. barely touches the manifold.. makes
a slightly irritating buzzing sound when it touches it..
btw i have a 95 (low port)

the altima strutbar definitely fits, just need to tweak it a lil,
maybe bend the bar about 1/2 an inch

ill get some pix later

How are your motor mounts? Are they older or have they been replaced recently?

I put one on my hiport p10.
how about the upper rear?
The high port motors are a lot different from the low ports though... that's the problem, the low ports have the intake manifold up top right where most strut bars are located. The rear you have to order from overseas and it'll cost a lot of money and take a while to get here (the US). Pic doesn't work. Oh yeah, if you wait a couple weeks there should be some results of a rear strut bar on a P10 posted on the site. Right now I've yet to find anyone who knows if it'll even help or not.

EvilYak: Reason I asked about the motor mounts is that if your current mounts are old your motor will be sagging quite a bit and if you put new mounts in it might raise the motor up enough to where you won't be able to use the stb anymore. I've seen it move the motor on a couple cars bit a pretty good amount.

The Altima STB bar you are using is for what YEARS of ALTIMA's? 93-97?

I wonder if you wrapped it in a rubber hose to isolate it better. Then it would not matter if it touched.

well, later tonite i plan to bend it... maybe about an inch and a half or so

didnt really consider the sagging motor... i hope its not a big deal
when i get the PR mounts

i'd rather have the bar NOT touch instead of isolating the bar
with rubber hose because in the long run, the rubbing would
probably damage something

seems like i have a bit of clearance from the hood so i should
be able to bend the bar quite a bit..
i don't think bending the bar should affect its structural integrity..
the G is a pretty stiff car to begin with and besides the bar
is HARD to bend

i'll let you guys know wat happens

this is what it looks like after i bent the bar in 2 spots
no touching, no rubbing, no noises

as you might be able to tell, the bar sits about 3/4" above
the manifold... any higher and it will hit the hood

I'm hoping when i get my PR mounts, the motor won't sit
too high for the bar to work
