bad leak! HELP

power steering pressure hose?

Well if that's what it is why would it be leaking?

Thats exactly where mine is leaking from also. I put in power steering fluid and filled it to the cold line checked it after work its back way under the max line. So I would be interested in any tips for this also. Should the power steering hose just be replaced or should anything else be replaced while changing it?

There are some places that will replace the hose with new crimps, or get a used one that isn't leaking, or new.

Any idea what this hose is called and how to take out? I have this issue as well. Are you sure it's from the power steering?

high pressure power steering hose and to remove it you unbolt the banjo bolts. There is also a bracket that needs to be removed or unbolted because the hose runs through it. This is one of the most common failures on these cars. So search up because plenty of good info on this job and part.

i would get it rebuilt rather than replaced if you plan on keeping the car a while. look up amazon hose or find a hose company locally.

lower banjo bolt is a PITA. Also be sure to use ATF not power steering fluid.

mine just started leaking pretty bad too lol was gonna hit pullapart and grab a hose for $8 and get it rebuilt for $80 at a local hydro shop.

manjuice, how much are ur hoses?

I have one from a 2000 G20 68k mile car in perfect shape for $85 shipped. Comes with pressure sensor.

I have two I pulled from the junkyard that I didn't end up using. $50 shipped. One is from a 2000 P11 and one is from a 2001. They should fit 2000+ (99's are different). Sold as is.
