My 2002 G20 179,000 miles heat has started to act up. At 65 you get no heat :headshake (expected) at 66 your get 100% heat :rdevil: like you have it at 85 degrees. Same for all other setting all in or nothing.

Seems like something is stuck in the works

there is a sensor in the bumper. Check and make sure it is there and connected. It is an ambient air temperature sensor. If that is missing you can have similar issues as you are describing.

^ Yes. You are missing this. Or the wiring is bad.

Driver side, bottom of the radiator, in front of the radiator.

If the circuit is open, it will think it is cold outside and give you heat on all settings except the lowest, and even then won't turn the AC on.
If the circuit is shorted together, it will think it is super hot, and will give you AC on all settings except the highest.

You have the former. Either the wiring is broken, or the sensor fell off the car.

There are two connectors, only one of them works with your system; the other is taped off. If you only have one connector, then the correct one fell off.

Those pictures won't load right. copy and paste them into the addressbar while you are on a g20.net page. Otherwise it thinks it is hotlinking and won't let you see it.

My wife is always bitching that you can not see the real time outside temperature especially when it is really close to freezing. Weekend project for sure!
