o.k. so now that we have been on the road for 2 weeks and a 2 days, we are close to that 9K mark (only 200 miles off)... we backtracked all the way to Boise, Idaho from Las Vegas (gulp) and are going to head home after this... We originally wanted to drive through 70 on the way back but with all the fires in Colorado and parts of 70 being closed off, we decided to take the northern route instead... We hesitated on the southern route so we could check out Flagstaff as a place to live but Boise won out! The fires seem to be where we go... We got a lot of smoke and could see the fires in Fairbanks, Alaska and now the same story in Zion/St. George and today we were in Bryce and could smell and see the fires.. not pretty... BUT the G20 is holding strong.. That synthetic does work great (still very clear/clean looking after almost 9K miles - go figure!)..... We'll reach the 10K mark before getting back home for sure!
