I was wondering what others have paid the dealer for a clutch job. How about independent shops?

Thanks
Hey, gthang......are you in the Bay Area, CA.......me too..

I recently had my clutch replaced at Concord - Clutch Stop.
I paid $550. Including OEM clutch kit, cable, and resurfucing the flywheel. Actually, it was only $475 for the clutch alone w/o the cable. Hope this help.

I paid around $700 parts and labor for the dealership to do the work on my '95.

I would recommend finding a good independent shop to do the work, and you will save money. Factoring in the loaner car they gave me and the fact that I haven't had any problems with the work the dealership has done for me, I can try to rationalize away the pain my bank account felt.

By the way, I'm new to the forum. Anyone know any good independent shops to recommend in Houston, TX?

Thanks!
