Hi all! I have a brand new alternator that I bought for my 1995 G20t, but never got around to installing it before I sold my car. These bad boys run around $160 new in my neck of the woods, but would be happy to send it your way for $100 shipped.

Genuine Nissan part...it's a heck of a deal for this alternator, especially considering its going to cost me about $17 to ship it.

Going to list it on Ebay after today. Pretty sure it will move fast there...need to get this stuff going as I don't want to have to move it to our new house.

Guess I'll have to open it up and get the PN for you. I know I bought it direct from Nissan for my 95 G20, but it's been a few years, so I have no clue what the PN is.
May as well take some pictures while I'm at it. Was hoping to not open it in case I need to sell it on Ebay.

The OEM part would have the number on the outside of the bag as well as on a tag wrapped around it somewhere. Either way, that bag should be clear plastic....

Bag is clear plastic but there is no part number. Took pics for you though. No PN on the alternator that I can see either, unless the 'Y10K' means something.

Sounds like a Crapzone alternator. Highly doubt you went and bought an oem alternator from them at that price.

Could be wrong but I agree with ^^^ him. Nissan cast into the housing doesnt mean the package you got it in came from Nissan or Infiniti. And 160$ for a new one from the dealer sounds absurdley cheap. And it WILL be in packaging marked Nissan if it was new from a dealer.

Smells a lot like a aftermarket rebuilt sold as that, or sold as new and it isn't.

i think the OP is confused between the difference of a NEW Nissan OEM, & A NEW Refurbed unit

No, I'm not confused at all. I used to have a great relationship with a few techs at nissan (i've had a long history of older 300zx's they used to work on). they gave me a break on the price on the alternator and I've had it since. Unless you can buy reman alternators from the dealer parts store, this is a new oem alternator. In any case - i came on to this thread not to argue the point, but to mark it as closed. Sold to a local guy over the weekend.
