FS: brand new clutch cable

111 Views 5 Replies 3 Participants Last post by  Chris
Bought a brand new clutch cable from World Pac when I was working at my last job. This was for my 5-speed swap. I put it in the car and even with the adjustment all the way back, it was still too long for my application so I went with a 1.6 Sentra cable.

So, I have it available used for initial fitment only, doesn't have a single mile of use. If you would like a photo, I can get one this weekend when I get to where my car is.

Asking $30 shipped within the continental USA.

What doesn't make sense here is a 1.6 cable is typically too long (found that out in our own conversion years ago in a b13 going 1.6 to sr20).

It almost sounds like the 2.0 cable you got was the wrong one in the box or bag if it is longer than the 1.6 cable. You can't just return it as the wrong part?
A 1.6L cable is shorter than a 2.0L cable, Chris101. There is a longer covering on the 1.6L cable that allows for a wider range of adjustment.

The cables stretch over time and having a shorter cable from the get-go gives you essentially more adjustment room through the cables service life.

Purchased through a company at my previous job, think I'm stuck with it unless someone here wants it.
ah okay, when we did the conversion, the 1.6 cable must have been stretched a lot because it was way too long.. .lol
