I never did it before except when the 92 needed a new line. It all pissed out, I changed the line and put fresh ATF in!

I guess you could turkey baster it out of the reservoir and refill. Do this a few "hundred" times untill your fluid is all nice and red.

BTW if this is for the honder I don't know what you use in the reservoir. I was assuming it was a G but I don't think you own one anymore?

yep, this is for the honda. and no, i dont have the G anymore. its not that the fluid needs to be changed as much as i would just like it changed. i got the whole engine bay clean with all the fluids changed and then you look over to my power steering reservoir and the fluid is all black. it kinda puts a damper on the whole clean effect.

Method to replace the power steering fluid.
First, buy a couple of quarts of the proper fluid.
Suck all of the fluid out of the reservoir.
Refill with new fluid.
Start car and move steering wheel back and forth for a minute or so.
Suck out the reservoir again.
Refill and restart engine and move steering wheel back and forth.

Repeat this at least four times.
The fluid will then be almost all new.
I do this on all of my cars at 60,000 mile intervals.

You need to move the steering wheel back and forth to get all of the fluid out of the unit.
