antenna in the P10 is officially disabled...

pull back the carpet stuff and unplug the thin blue wire from above the motor, its separate from the motor.

Just cut the blue and white wire coming out of the head unit (aftermarket standard, don't know about OEM) which signals the antenna. I then put it in line with a fog switch on the dash so I can toggle it as needed.

i just did it my way so i could hook it back up if i wanted to really fast..

My antenna motor gave up so it wont retract the antenna down on my P10.
I already disconnected the motor. I was wondering if there was any way to get it back down?

I'm reviving this thread from the dead.

So I disconnected my antenna after Installed my Blaupunkt headunit a couple months ago. The antenna goes up when the headunit is on (cd or radio). Sometimes I dont get good reception in some areas.

Can I just cut one of the wires from the harness that turns on the antenna? that wont make it go up?

Put an extra flasher button in your dash and wire the blue wire from your head unit through it so you can toggle the antenna up and down when you want to. I've got my antenna switched using a spare fog button.

I already tried that but i think it's jammed because no matter how much i push down it wont go down....i think im just gona pull it out and bondo the antenna area and make it look like it never existed lol.

My Alpine H/U is nice, if it is on anything other then standard radio, the ant doesn't go up, and i can switch between say "iPod and Sirius" without having to go past terrestrial radio, so my antenna never goes up. It's a good fix too (FYI)
