My saga with P0171: http://www.g20.net/forum/showthread.php?t=56803

Cliffs - I have an 01 G20 AT bone stock. SES light came on P0171. I replaced the front 02 sensor...code didn't go away. Then I replaced the MAF sensor, and it went away.

THEN...after about 3 weeks, the SES light came back on. Luckily, it was a different code. P0138. P0138 is telling the ECU that the second (rear) o2 sensor isn't reaching the necessary voltage. I'm assuming this is just a standard order the part and replace job, but I wanted to check here first. Has anyone else had issues with P0138 or think its connected to my previous P0171 code? Thanks in advance.

it seems that the code is correct and replacing the sensor should fix it

P0138 code BUMP
weird thing is it keeps coming and going away, last time i had it for about 1000 miles , this week it only lasted 200 miles, i though it may have been bad gas before but ive been sticking to chevron gas for a while now.some thing is obviusly bad but not really bad since the light goes off by itself. why could it be ??
