James lost his JV0 car awhile back when a lady blew a 4 way and t-boned him totaling the car out. He has missed that car every day since it happened :(
He bought a 99' QT1 that he was building up but it has been on hold until mid summer comes up and also a 99' EVO that he has been daily driving stock.
I found another 99' JV0 with cold weather package and only 94k miles for sale so we decided to pick it up and sell his 200k mile 99' EVO car. The new JV0 has no rust,
was bumped in the front with a bad bumper cover, sunroof was broken, carpet was ruined, but everything else is perfect. We had the carpet and sunroof from a 68k mile
part car and old JV0's bumper and cover.

The plans for this car is another stockish automatic build like my autotragic car.

2014 GT500 Injectors (DR3Z-9F593-A) 16 hole spray pattern 609cc @ 3bar 693cc @ 4bar (we are running 4 bar FP for E85)

We have already picked up the engine and transmission core and are rebuilding them now. Most of the other parts are in the shop or on the way.
The engine was from a 2000 Sentra SE 5 speed with 187k miles, the transmission was from a 2000 G20 with 160k miles.

Should be a very nice DD car with better spool up than my GTX car hopefully... Also this is the first try at a 99' convert to B style transmission.

We have been focusing on the RR engine build but getting the parts have been exhausting... The factory Nissan main/rod bearings were damaged in shipping twice and now have to come from a different dealership since they are a discontinued item. In the meantime I have ordered several sets of ACL race and King race bearings to try to get this part finished. I really like the looks of the King bearings and quality control. I think they will be more consistent than the ACL bearings because we have already seen ACL's differ in size from one to another. The good news is that almost everything including all transmission rebuild parts are here! So instead of finishing an engine up we may just get the tranny built and shift kitted this Sunday.

Finished up the transmission rebuild and shift kit. Everything is mid to tight factory spec. Bolted up one of the 18" G35 wheels to the autotragic to check fitment. Cleaned/painted the RR B15 valve cover. Cleaned the B15 RR head. I also updated the #1 post with a picture slideshow link, all pictures will be added there so I won't clutter up this tread so bad.

On a scale on 1 to 10, how difficult is the valve body rebuild with the Transgo kit?

The first one took us 3-4 hours. Mostly because the instructions suck ass.... Our first shift kit was on the autotragic with the transmission in the car so we didn't use their special seal on the high drum. So it was a valvebody kit and brakeband adjustment only and it worked great because the tranny was in good shape and the seals had no problems. We have done 4 others since that one and it gets quicker every time.

Skill level is pretty high mainly because of all the parts you have to keep track of and not get anything mixed up. It is best to have two people working and watching so nothing gets mixed up.

We finished up the twin scroll manifold last weekend, the down pipe section will have to be fabricated when the new engine is in the car. Hopefully this weekend we will get the car converted to 5 bolt. It's hard to get much done now that we only get one day per week to work on it now... :( I'll get pics up as soon as I can

Wow, it's been awhile... We had a bunch of personal things come up that pretty much put all fun stuff on hold this summer. We just started working on the 99' intake this weekend. James cleaned it out and drilled/reamed the injector bungs for the new GT500 injectors and we are going to modify a 2000+ RR top feed rail to finish it off. It will also have a Aeromotive FPR piped to the rail. We are still planning to get this thing together before winter. (crossing fingers)

Updated the pictures in the link on post #1. Finishing up the compressor housing now. The mainfold and Jpipe is done until we drop it in the car to finish the exhaust work. Top feed rail conversion is done and the GT500 injectors work great. Almost all of this project was done with scraps from past projects so it's a little rough. If this works out like we think and we want to make another we will probably put a little more time into it and also go dual Mvs 38mm gates. We also tore the automatic apart again and did the 5 clutch disc upgrade for the high drum like my autotragic car.

We installed the rear 3" catback and welded up a dual tip stainless OBX muffler this weekend. We also cutout the rear bumper and installed a 2000 P11 dual exhaust cutout. Can't wait to get the turbo on this thing now, it's a little too loud being NA with a 3" straight through muffler!

Oh yeah, we forgot about EGR on the manifold and started making aluminum brackets to fasten the FPR and other loose parts.

Finally warming up enough here to get more fun stuff done. We upgraded James brakes last weekend. 08' 350z fronts and Maxima rears. Also a set of 18" Infiniti wheels that were cheap but pretty curbed up. Getting close to tearing her apart and getting that engine and tranny out of my garage!

We worked about 9 hours on the car Sunday. ExoX turbo, Intercooler piping, exhaust, spun 3" cat converter, oil & water lines, FPR, transmission harness adapter all complete. Still have to install the 4.9 LSU wideband, 320LPH Aeromotive pump and wiring, radiator, headlights, and front bumper cover. Getting pretty close to road tuning it now!

Which loop Egr do you use there ? Is there a big difference in the timing you can add with the different setups that you tried?
