Ok this is what happened last winter (Put ya coat on)

I w0s goin up hill on snow ......... I got as far as my trusty P11 would take me & then we kinda stopped........... Then we kinda started sliding backwards :(

So I did my best to turn around (I was slidin' this way & that ) Then went (Or tried) to go down (I managed it .......... With a few fuck ups )

So now I got chains (Not serious chains ....... Just get ya outta shit chains) its the UK after all

OK so the front grip ...... But the back doesn't ........... Does this mean I have a back slide issue ? ...... Me thinks I do ?

What says you snowy ppl ? :beard:

Lol I haven't driven in bad snow here in about 15 years. That was back when i had a MkII Escort. I did the same as you, tried to get up a hill and ended up turning round (not by choice)...

Kinda yes with the rear problem. As an example, most, if not all, tire stores here in Oregon will not mount studs or traction tires on front only. All around or none. But that's also for liability reasons. If you need to go with chains on front you won't be going very fast due to the shaking anyway, right? I'd hang them and go if you don't want to ante for the rears. Just be aware and think ahead for it.
