What is so special about these?
They give you more room for suspension travel so when you place lowering springs on the car, travel loss is negated and sometimes even gained. (Just like LoCo top mounts for P10 and P11)

Thanks! I assume that means they are a bit soft and not for the performance oriented, more for making a lowered ride more functional?

A bit "soft"?? Not sure what you mean by this since these are essentially strut upper mounts and are not made of rubber, but aluminum.

In addition to what Kyle said, this mount also removes the slop associated with using rubber upper mounts and allows the damper to work instead of bumps/motion being absorbed into the mount/chassis of the vehicle. They were on a Trackday special SE-R and worked flawlessly with Koni Yellows and 650lb springs. So very much "performance" oriented ;)
