So,

inspired by everyone I decided to upgrade my bose headunit as well... Since I am quite satisfied with the factory bose speaker set, I decided to keep it.

... it started with this...

and ended up here

another night shot

And while I was at it I decided to get this as well

Pioneer DEH-P4800MP Headunit from CircuitCity - $139.00 + tax
Metra Nissan Antenna Adapter 40-NI10 from CircuitCity - $12.99 + tax
Scosche wiring harness (for '74 and up Nissan) NN032 from Walmart - $6.94 + tax
Scosche Speaker Level Converter FAI-3A from Walmart - $17.77 + tax
Sirius Sattelite Radio tuner for Pioneer SIR-PNR1 from Fry's - $99.00 + tax
Soldering Iron + solder from Fry's - $12.00 + tax
Miscelleneus wires and tape from Fry's - $ 2.45 + tax
Beer to get through my first installation without loosing my mind - $6.45 + tax

sweet. so did you install this yourself? Did you have to get the Scosche adapter to adjust the speaker levels so that the amplifiers would not get too high of an input signal?

yes installed myself with a little help from a frnd who's good at soldering. Yes kept the setting at close to half on the scosche adapter. The volume is same the one with the
factory Bose headunit. however the quality has improved dramatically.

Cool man, that looks like a clean install. Ever take a look at the double din Eclipse nav unit? We put one in a P11 yesterday and it looked like it was made for the car.
