Hey Everyone,

Got myself a 2002 Maui Blue Infiniti G20 last summer, she has a couple of dents and scrapes that will be fixed soon. 5MT with moonroof and perforated sport cloth/leather combination interior. My boyfriend taught me how to drive stick when I bought her and I absolutely love it, not turning back. She is a beauty. Magnaflow muffler, mechanically perfect, soon to be repainted and slammed on BC Racing coils (currently lowered on Tien S-Techs) with a nice set of rims soon to come (haven't decided on what as of yet). Vinyl wrapped the shifter bezel myself with brushed aluminum and carbon fibre. She is a work in progress and I can't wait to see how far I can take her...maybe a DET one day!

I don't have many pics as of yet, because we're waiting for the weather to not suck for a proper photo shoot with my boyfriend and his brother (TLMNICK, if you know of him), but here are a few below! ;)

Hello from Montreal. Car looks really clean, especially for Canada!
If you are going to want wheels or (HID) factory JDM Xenons or other stuff then you and I will be speaking a lot. :p
Thanks everyone!

reyesjnj, In the garage is a A32 Maxima, my boyfriend's brother's baby. Never sees anything but bright and sunny summer days and clear, starry nights lol.

o2G2o, She already has HID heads and fogs, and LEDs everywhere else, Pioneer double-din, Viper 2-way. I haven't decided what I want for rims yet, though! But I'll need something for when the winters come off in a couple of months.
Beautiful!! you have seemingly found a unicorn:p can't wait to see more pictures of this:)
I was actually talking about different headlights altogether (from Japan) but if you already have HIDs in the stock headlights that's fine too. ;)

I meant these:
See less See more
Oh the Primera headlights that have two housings! I might consider them, my boyfriend gave me the idea of putting yellow in the high-beam chamber. I'll think about getting them! Right now I'm more concentrated on ordering her coils and getting her bodywork done...then I'll focus on more little things like that probably.
Nice car. I hear Toronto is a pretty place to visit.

I love that look - a few members on here have done it. I'm just hesitant to open up the lenses like that or I'd have definitely done it already! Nice to see we have a couple with taste joining the ranks, which was already evident with the car choice. :p

Nah, Maui is all me! He has his Maxima (the white one). Him and his brother just help me out a lot, they collectively know more about these cars than Nissan does. I'm not sure I like the yellow, but we'll see. Coils, rims, and paint first! Then we'll go on a proper photo shoot.

I think I seriously want to look into a DET, too...have a lot of people done that here?
a few, but depending on the route you go you will probably need the wiring harness out of a 99. start looking now because they're hard to come by.

I just did a GTiR swap into my 2002 Sport last year (running on AEM EMS)...there are definitely easier and cheaper swaps though. Honestly if I could go back in time, considering the money and effort involved I'd have gone Neo VVL instead (sr20ve).

Call it a dumb reason, but...I really want the sound of the blow off valve. :D

Is the VE hard to come by at all? Compared to the DET. And the wiring harness is different from a 1999 to my 2002?

VE is pretty easy to find in Quebec...if you go on eBay you'll see most engines ship out of Montreal for all of North America. Whether it's easier or harder than DET to find I'm not sure...I think there are a lot more VE-powered cars going to scrap in Japan these days and less DETs leftover from the earlier years. Yeah the harness is different in 1999 - it's simpler. They doubled the bits on the ECU for 2000 so there's a lot more "in the way" programming-wise and you can't use the B14 ECU re-programmed by JWT like you can on 1999s.
