After a while of secrecy I can't keep these new developements quiet any longer. I am pleased to announce that my shop is in the process of fabricating some carbon fiber parts for the P10 G20. At my shop we have already done some work with carbon fiber and we are getting ready to produce some parts for the P10.
Here are some things we are already in the process of working on on my G20.......
trick carbon fiber subwoofer box in the spare tire well (almost complete)
Carbon fiber front splitter
New Carbon fiber door plliars
Fiberglass and carbon fiber rear deck
Interior Carbon fiber A-Pilliars
Full Carbon fiber Trunk Lid- Only around 18 lbs, this thing is insane (requires removal of inner tails and modification of trunk lock)
A Few Carbon Fiber engine dress up items
many more parts to come.....

I just wanted to wet everyones appetite for a while. We are trying to have the parts for my car done by the first of May. All parts will be clear coated for a nice shine. Once we have perfected them, I will begin to offer things on a made to order basis. I will post pics of some of the items soon. If you have something you want made, give me some ideas.

So tell me something dude do you own a P10? I didn't know you could use Nomex as a core its like thin wet suit.

Yea just had my hood off and Radicals figures so far would be a big weight saver. Although I'm sure others may be able to make a lighter hood Radical seems to had a good reputation for quality products and not skimping, besides I've seen the ultra light weight hoods on integras and the finish and over durability didn't seem up to par.

Okay I'll give what car do you own with a 8.3lb hood?
The hood is for the most part OEM and the core is nomex that is why it is light, and that is not an unheard of weight. A trained fabricator can do that no problem, and ones with all the toys can go way lighter. My girls hood will be in the sub 7lb range, with the use of an autoclave.
That could be so. That is super light, are you talking about a race car or a street car? The carbon fiber hood that has been produced for the p10 isn't even that light.

Thanks for the kind words. I don't think I'm ready to tackle a hood as of yet. Anyways there is already a p10 c/f hood that has been produced and I hear that it's pretty good. You're right, I insist on a high quality product. I won't even offer any of this stuff untill the items are perfect and that are something that I personally would put on my car. Carbon fiber is somewhat new to me and I am constantly learning new tricks and different ways to do stuff. SaeWickSon, if you have any suggestions as to how to improve the process let me know.
Hey throw a pic up of that rear deck with the speakers in it for us to sink our teeth into for a while and keep us at bay. Thanks dawg.
Hey what's new with some of the carbon fiber stuff. Cause i'm still interested and will get some of them this summer for my car.
what about a cowl hood?I am so with all the interior stuff. Can you add a gage cluster to the pillers? That would be the SHIT!
ya...is anything else done yet?
No new pics?
Im up for a rear deck asap
I haven't forgot about this project. It's just that things are going a little slower than anticipated. The carbon fiber rear deck is fully done with the speakers in. The carbon fiber sub box is done with the subs installed. I haven't had a chance to get pics yet. I am still working on the pilliars (trying to get a few sets made) and the trunk lid, and some din-sized covers for the opening below the climate controls.

One deterement to the project was that I had some faulty resin that literally screwed up about 4-5 basically completed parts that I had to end up throwing away.:(
LMK when a stock trunk is molded and done.....I'll buy one of those...
update

I wanted to thank everyone for their patience with these parts. We had a few stumbling blocks and some faulty products to contend with, but we are awaiting to recieve some materials on Friday or Monday that will help finish a few parts, when the first parts are done pictures will be posted.
Once again Thank You Guys and we hope to be done soon...;)

BTW: If anyone will be at Hot Import Nights in Chicago this weekend, the G20 Will Be there displaying some of the prototype carbon fiber parts.
anything new? i'm looking for some interior carbon fiber parts....might have to hit up Strada.
What kind of interior parts??

I'll try to post some pics of the prototype parts soon. I have quite a few new prototype parts made (ex. we did the sides of the trunk) We had to order a new shipment of carbon fiber because we ran out of the old stock.

If you are looking for a carbon fiber overlay, i.e. molding carbon fiber to a stock part, we can do that as well. It doesn't save in weight but it doesn't really add much either. pm me with the part you want and you can send us the part and we will overlay it. (as long as the angles aren't too complex) On overlays we can typically do it in a two week turnaround time (slightly more time if you want it clear-coated)

We are also making parts for the 99-02 Mercury cougar (we have a project car we're using for that) and some WRX parts as well.
i'd like to see a double or triple a-pillar gauge holder....the dash pieces(around stereo and ac controls, and around vents).........maybe a real overlay for the factory gauges....i'll think of more..
LMK when you get a CF trunk.....I wants one of dem=)

dash pieces=probably doable
a-pilliars=doable
a-pilliar guage holders=not doable at this point, too many very tight angles to work with

trbobrk and nis.k.a i'll let you guys know when a stock-styled trunk is done.
how much are we lookin at pricewise? for each.

I'm definitely interested in exterior B-pillars for the doors and either a rear trunk lid, or an overlay sheet to go over the license plate/keyhole area.. something that will spread wide enough to tuck under the inner taillights of the P10.

Thanks, good luck with all your projects.
I was at HIN in Chicago an let me tell you. If you got a P10. An you're into fixing it up a lil. You will want the rear carbonfiber deck Rad had on his P10 at the show. It was really really Nice.
So what the rest of his car. But the main thing that caught my eye was the 2 Vette lights molded in the trunk and the carbonfiber rear deck lid. An that paint is pretty G too! Props dawg.

If I had a stock rear trunk I would be all over that overlay. That wouldn't be that hard to do.

Thanks for the props BlueEnya

:D
To just add to the request of parts, I will say that I would like to see full carbon fiber dash parts (stereo console, glovebox w/o door, driver's side lower panel) and the center console where the ebrake and shifter are. I would really love it if they weigh even slightly less than stock. I too would like to see a stock style carbon fiber trunk lid. I want it to be strong enough to attach an aluminum BTCC style spoiler.
