My last week on day shift... i'll try to make it out there.

I agree with both sides. It depends on the person. In this case, I had to do it on Monday. However, I usually do it on Friday...and usually at the end of the month. It makes payroll a lot less messy. Over the past 7 years, I’ve had to fire roughly 10-15 people. I’ve never had any problems afterwards. I’d say 85-90% of them cried.

One time, I had a boyfriend of this girl I fired call me and say he was going to get a lawyer b/c of the reason I fired her. It turned out that she lied to him about the reason. By the end of the phone call, he was apologizing and calling me “sir”...lol. Ahh...good times...

I also had this one lady tell me that she had to leave “right away, or she’ll scratch someone’s eyes out...”. That one was funny. Oh, another time, this lady cried b/c she had JUST bought a new 4x4 and now lost her job. She kept crying and asking “what am I going to do now...<sob>....<sob>...?”.

Man, I could just go on and on...

Damn you Rob, breaking people's hearts. I wish i had the power to fire somebody.. all i can do is yell at them. :-\ wanna switch jobs for a week? hehe
