Got new front wheel bearings and grease seals installed for both sides. Pics are prior to new parts and cleaning of the knuckles.

Then I decided I need to strip the ABS components out to swap over to non-ABS master cylinder and to simplify the brake lines. Forgot that this car still had ATE Super Blue brake fluid in it.

Finally pulled the trigger on getting the engine bay repainted before the VE goes in. Started stripping out power steering lines, oil cooler and lines, and removing the engine room harness.

About 90% complete. Still have to get the brake booster out and clutch cable grommet out of the firewall. I need to remove the HVAC box and pull the wiper motor harness inside the car. Next I have to check with painter to see how to proceed with removing rest of engine room harness to completely remove it from the car or to see if he can work around it. The harness goes inside the car in the left front fender firewall area, and once inside the car it snakes over to steering column and terminates at the headlight and wiper switches. This harness layout from the FSM shows how much a PITA this harness is to remove.

Removed the dash to get the engine room harness out. When I removed the harness I found this clusterf*k of aftermarket wiring attached and spliced the incorrect way into the harness. I had to remove all of that before I could feed the harness out through the hole in the firewall. Took the engine room harness to work to fix and re-solder the incorrect splices.

Got the car loaded up and headed to painter to have the engine bay repainted in QN0, the new Morette headlights paint matched, the door pillar trims redone in black, and all the decals and stickers removed and some paint correction done. Should have the car back in 2-3 weeks.
