hey guys -

I just recently upgraded to a 2001 G20t. I bought it used from a ford dealership that had put on the usual sort of stenciled writing that says " bla bla bla ford" it's the kind that is raised lettering, but its painted on, not attached. just wondering if there is anyway to remove this without damaging the paint? heat gun? anything? please let me know if you have any advice.

you probably have decals, it's not painted, as soon as you can go ahead and peel off, then use rubbing alcohol (lightly) to remove any excess glue, then put some wax, rub, let sit, wipe off and you're done!

I'd go back and tell them to remove the decals...you didnt pay for your car to advertise for them.

they did that with our Mercedez Ml430, first thing I did when I got home was take off the decals and then the license plate frames they provided. stupid idiots putting that on a luxury SUV cheapens the whole look.
PS Dont let it sit too long can cause the paint color not to be perfectly matched....
