Hi all,

The mechanic said I need to change my front strut bushing since it makes a noise when driving in low speed. But since the car is 2002, the mechanic said to replace the strut also.
I was looking online to get a better deal since they quoted me for $100 each for KYB-AGX. I checked amazon and found:
http://www.amazon.com/Monroe-71107-...r=2002|2002&carId=001&n=15684181&s=automotive

I am a bit confused since the picture wasn't exactly the same shape as KYB-AGX
http://www.amazon.com/KYB-741029-Manually-Adjustable-Cartridges/dp/B0006HNW1G/ref=pd_sim_sbs_auto_6

So, the question is whether the monroe will installed without modification? thank you.

And also appreciate if you can recommend shops/mechanics to work on this suspension around Bay Area (SF).

Thanks a lot

Hey how's it going? Since you live in the US the best site for parts is www.rockauto.com here's a search:

http://www.rockauto.com/catalog/raframecatalog.php?carcode=1378931&parttype=7584

They list KYB at $ 49 a piece vs the $ 100 quoted by your mechanic, I know shipping is a bit extra but still cheaper than what you were quoted. I buy from here as often as i can even when I get hot with duties at the customs border :) As for a shop hopefully a local member in your area can help you out. I've bought my KYB Gr2's for my 99 P11 and I still have them after so many years :)
