Swapping non airbag dash into airbag car

So, I'm wanting to drop some weight off the car I'm building and I don't care that it's illegal to tamper with airbags and remove them. What I really want to know is--if I swap a non-airbag dash(93 model) into a car with airbags (95 model), what else will I need to get from the nonairbag car? I've taken plenty of the airbag cars apart, but not a nonairbag car so I don't know if the vents are different or if the lower trim attaches differently, etc.

Has anyone done this and can give advice on what I'm doing? Don't tell me it's too hard, I can take the dash out in 30 mins. I just want to know what all to get off the nonairbag car so I get everything I need without having to pay for extra stuff I don't need.

I'll put up a how to once I'm done, just in case anyone cares... =)

I expect you will be the 1st to do this. We contemplated doing this on our former p10 race car but the whole where the passenger airbag used to be was perfect for the camera mount we were using in it :)
if i were you i would grab the whole dash & get what ever is connected under it. I belive the vent system is slightly dfiff.
The steel tube that goes all the way across underneath the dash is different on the non airbag version, much lighter too. I don't know about air vent stuff, since mine aren't connected to anything, ha!
So it seems as though this more than just the plastic dash face and lower trim. Pulling the whole beam is pretty inconvenient! I guess I can pull it and have a look at how everything attaches. I just don't want to have to also replace the blower motor, vents, etc.. That is getting too costly for a "just to have fun car".

I'll snag some pics for comparison.
you could always remove the airbag, but put the airbag lid back on the dashboard. That is what I have in my p10.
im tackling this too, but will be a few months till im ready to pull the non srs dash out my other car, since I want to finish the body work first. but I do have the srs dash out and I removed the complete airbag harness and module with crash sensors and everything. I can post pics of the srs dash support if anyone wants to post a non srs dash support pic for comparison.
did this years ago it works out fine put my black srs dash into my buddys car to get rid of his brown srs dash swapped the non srs dash into my 94t and i beleive that dash came from a 91
Just grab the dash w/ vents n vent tubes. You can also retain your undash cross bar. But why all the work? Just remove pass side airbag assy and reinstall the airbag dash lid

because that's how we want it.... It would bother me to see an srs pad and know I don't have airbags.. the non srs dash looks better with the flat spots imo, and im doing a full restomod, so might as well have it how I want it.... right?

I did this in the Black Gee when I did the stereo install.

That's what I was thinking, pretty simple fix.
Easy peasey lemon squeezy :D
