My tachometer has developed a mind of it's own. I may be at idle but the tach reads 7000 rpms. Is this an easy fix?

Tach wigged out

I don't know about the G20's (still looking for one) but my 88 Integra had the same problem. It turned out to be the contacts inside the distributor cap. Pull the cap, pull the crimped on connectors one at a time and squeeze them down just a little with pliers. If you have any electrical contact cleaner (Radio Shack), you can spray some into the connector to clean out any debris. Carb cleaner would work good too.:beard:

The tach in my brother's 240SX use to do that to. I'd be cruising at constant speed and then the tach would jump to redline, drop to zero, then flutter all over the rev band like it was possessed:monster: :monster:
Of course, the car kept going nice and easy with no problems.=)
