okay, i did a quick search, and didnt find anything.

i still have the same tires that i bought the car with, and the thread is starting to expose itself. driving in the rain is no fun. but spinning through 1st and 2nd gear in the rain IS fun.

anyway, any quick recommendations on what tires i should get? i just need something that will make commuting more fun, nothing too serious. i guess i'm willing to spend around 300-400 bucks on them. any cheaper reccomendations will also be considered

Since you have stock wheels, you're going to be looking for 195/65R14 tires. Personally, I think the best tire out there right now in this size is the Bridgestone Turanza LS-H. They'll probably set you back $450 when it's all said and done, but you may be able to find a better deal.

In my opinion, it's worth it to spend the extra money and get high quality tires. Tires are so important since that's the only thing that actually controls where your car goes. Also, with proper care, they should last long enough to get your money's worth.
