Well, I finally convinced myself that I am a moron. I thought I had a chance at escaping this fate, but recently I put all doubt aside in the debate.

I shut my damn garage door on the rear bumber of my car.

Now I have 2, 1.5" scratches down the rear bumber. I am looking for some advice on what approach to take on buffing/painting to correct the gouges. I am not really looking to fill the scratches, just looking for decent superficial fixes.

Thanks.

theres actually this was at car parts called color cure it comes with this chalk type stick of the color of your car and what you do is scrath that chalk in the grooves and then put their wax on it and it looks good its like a coverup for the small scratches i used it on a nick or two and u cannot tell i did
its kind of a cheesy product but i liked it
