Huh?

The DET water pump is the same as the DE water pump.

What I meant to ask was how do you install it? Where from do you feed the water line into the turbo? Do you need to tap the engine for an extra line? What's the magic here?

Water Feed/Drain Lines

If you are referring to the water supply and water drain lines, then what some people have done is hook up the lines under the throttle body to custom lines.

On the DET there is a nipple on the back side of the thermostat that supplies the stock turbo with water. It then drains back into the block via hard lines using a banjo fitting and a banjo bolt.

Yes, someone mentioned that once on the SR20DEForum, running it from the radiator nipple but that's with the DET. Now my question is how do you run the water supply to the turbo with the DE?

So there are drain lines under the throttle body that can be connected to custom lines to the turbo? Hmm....gotta find out where the drain lines are! LOL

Thanks....

Water

It is not necessary to run water!

On the underside of the TB there is a water inlet and a water outlet. You can bypass these lines and get the water source from one side and use th eother for the water drain! This will work for DE's and DET's since both models have the nipples under the throttle body!

You can't just pick a turbo out of your rear and think this is going to work well on the G20t. First you need to set your hp output goal. If you want 400+whp, you will need a bigger turbo, such as Turbonetics Stage 3 T3/T04E hybrid or the Garrett GT3037. You will need to know what combination of compressor and turbine housing will be most efficient along with the A/R. You need to know what is best for you in terms of turbo lag, etc, etc, how to prevent detonation, what internal mods you need, what suspension and brake upgrades the whole shebang.....

So to answer you question, it's hard to say and it is all depending on what you want for your application.

My advice is: this is not "what monkey sees, monkey dos" stuffs. Do research and read and learn! SR20DEforum & SE-RForum are example of good resources.
