I'm going to be cutting the rear panels off another P11 to extend the body lines of mine. I'm going to take pictures of cutting it off the other P11...what I do to install it onto my car and all that I have to address to make this work. Follow me into a world of P11 make believe.

lots of other cool stuff going on too including

*thinking of swapping to lowport IM on the RR motor
*odyssey pc680 battery install with hand polished battery box.

*transgo Hd2 shift kit
*msd coil and ignition system(with rev limit.)
*t25 turbo install.
*shift-fast control panel so i can redline the auto trans in 1st,2nd,3rd gears.
*walbro fuel pump install/trick flo fuel filter/summit fuel pressure gauge install.
*more weight reduction

I'm doing this build to separate myself from the crowd. I mean a automatic turbo widebody p11 has a certain ring to it to me. The auto turbo thing has been beaten to death but where there is a will there is a way.....

How much weight have you taken out of the doors. I think your better off swapping out those electric window motors w/ manual types... I'd also remove the airbags (steer wheel and dash SRS) as they are heavy

I also noticed that JDM manual seats and door panels are wayyyy lighter than its usdm counterpart

yeah that pic was taken by NY5speed at the convention this year. I'm the suck when it comes to taking pictures....kinda weird considering i would consider myself pretty artistic type...but not when it comes to taking pics.
Maybe a magazine will give me a feature when I'm done...i spent a good deal of time reading every import mag back in the day. I loved reading the ups and downs of building a car. That feeling of what it's like to have 100+ parts bags in from of you with every nut and bolt in the engine bay being replaced,making custom parts ,etc. I still remember mostly every car and story that went along with it. It's actaually one of my dreams to be a cover car. Maybe one day.

i haven't put the scrap on a scale but it is considerably lighter. It has that same feeling of a carbon fiber hood vs stock hood. Like very noticable. I will be doing a steering wheel change but i like my airbags. Lol at the moment the rear interior is out with no plans to go back in. Sound deadening is out. There are certain things i am willing to live without and some things i must keep. I always feel like you can always do more to a car and your never done so maybe later down the rd i will dip back into jdm/euro parts to eliminiate some stuff but for the most part i want to keep "american comforts" i guess is the way to put it.

my sideskirts are heavy...no getting around that..lol i think 2 stock ones would weigh less than 1 of mine. My fenders have been cut so it should be just a little more than a stock fender. I want to take as much material off the rear as i can so even though there is 2 panels there it's not adding alot of weight.

not totally....I still have to remove the passengers fender and cut the rest of the stock fender out. Other than that it just needs a little bondo and nice machine sand. I am most likely gonna make the fender line build up with bondo to make the line pop out a little more. The next steps with the rear will basically ruin the car.....well the ability to turn back stock anyways..oh well...
