Took it further apart today:
Mainbearings are destroyed, and so are the block, the head, the cams, the crank and the oilpump.

Looks like the previous owner didn't like to perform regular oil changes or the crank was unbalanced or loose. Who knows.
looks like it might be time to upgrade the motor to a sr20det or ve :)

This happened during a trackday, after that, i made a one hour drive home. :hurt:

The last couple of days:



























Mounted the timningchain and such.
After that we've mounted the VE-oilpump, only to find out it's warped at the top left side...


























Mounted the waterpump, took the VE-pump off, mounted the cilinderhead with an OEM SR20VE headgasket.

I've put the intake manifold back on.
It's completly rebuild with 64mm throttlebody, ThermoBlok-spacers and cleaned injectors. :)

i LOVE this build

question tho, im a rebuild newb, if the block received damage, how do u reuse it?
and what is you suspension setup?
I've bought another block because the one that came out of the car was beyond repair.

Suspension i'm running are Intrax (Dutch company) coilovers, and i've polybushed everything that was available.
