Went to the scrap yard last weekend to pull a 5-speed and was unable to get it out before closing time. Supposed to go back this weekend but it's supposed to rain, so trying my hand at finding a transmission that is already out of a car. Looking for a working non-LSD 5-Speed, trans only, with 200k miles or less for $200 or less. Scrap yard is charging me $150.

how in the world would you be able to get a trans for $150 from there? They quoted me $225 for a 4cyl FWD manual trans if I pull it myself (this is the yard in Mesa on extension with the $3 entry fee).

Heck, last year I got quoted $225 for a g20 engine and then once we had it up there to pay for it, it ended up being $180 instead (I didn't complain mind you)
