The dutch-guy is going nuts.... :alien:

I am so happy.....this week I ordered a so called 'powerbox' for my turbodiesel. This little thingy boosts up my engine to about 115 Hp (instead of the stock 90) and consequently the torque as well.
The powerbox is adjustable with a screwdriver

If interested: http://www.speed-buster.de/

Watch it, the site is German :lick:

 Man, if 115 hp makes you excited, then imagine getting a SR20DE or VE for that matter.:p :lick: ;)

Diesel gas is cheaper there tho. Sr20DE swap would cost a whole lot more than $500 in the long run.

Patriot do you have a cat on your Primera?

No, I do not have a cat on my car. If I had, I would certainly empty it

Gas-prices in The Netherlands:

  • unleaded 95: € 1,165
    unleaded 98: € 1,219
    diesel: € 0,809
LPG (Liquid Propane Gas): € 0,373
Prices are per liter.

Anyway, I got the powerbox yesterday, but I have to figure out a way to put all these thin wires in the ECU.....

It isn't the HP that counts.....it's the torque. Like Frank Williams said: HP sells cars, torque wins races

My car currenty has 177 Nm (NewtonMeter) torque. After I have adjusted the powerbox it wil have appr. 230 Nm

I was going to point this out, but didnt know the stats on the Primera TD. 230 Nm works out to about 170 ft-lb. In other words, he'd probably smoke your ass while getting over 40 mpg, Mr. Ryte ;)

Well, in that case I'll just STFU and crawl away with my wounded pride....;)

I want a turbo diesel P10.... that'd ROCK!

Cheaper gas, hopefully better mileage than we normally get (~30mpg), and maybe a LOT of power for a daily commuter.

I wonder if that motor would bolt up to all the USDM stuff (tranny, etc..)? What's the specific motor code and tranny code, if you know it?

Thanks!

[B......yet we complain about how expensive it is here.  [/B]
Yeah, kinda makes you count your blessings(add it to the long list of blessings that comes from living here in America).

I agree a diesel P10 would rule! Sweet gas mileage and tons of torque would be a great daily driver.......

.......Yeah they can't rev high but they don't need to because of the torque, they'll get to the same speed as we would at a way lower rpm.
Out of curiosity, is there a spec sheet on the Primera TD engine?:surprised

But a gasoline powered car with the same gearing and torque would be able to rev higher, and there for beat him just because he doesnt have to shift for longer....but then he hits his peak torque way before we do, but can he rev as fast??

Damn complex
