What would happen if you took out your upper links?
I would assume that you would lose some degree of control and stability along with constant alignment issues.........not too mention cause a major accident due to suspension failure...........:dead:johnbrooke86 said:What would happen if you took out your upper links?
Well by lengthening or shortening the top link you can adjust camber, so imagine what would happen if it wasn't there...johnbrooke86 said:What would happen if you took out your upper links?
No kidding... the axles probably wouldn't stay engaged for long. Why would you want to take them out, for curiosity's sake?JustinP10 said:You wouldn't be able to move your car without messing it up.
The rubber bushes wear....replace the whole link with new bushes or burn out the old ones and fit superpro bushes...johnbrooke86 said:Thats cool! Thanks for taking the time to do that.I am hoping that the cylinder fits in there like a glove. As soon as my brackets come in I will be able to try it.How do the links wear out?Do the bushings just rot away or does the steel link itself get week?
The bushings will wear out long before the links will get weak(unless a major accident occurs in which the links are severly bent or damaged).johnbrooke86 said:Thats cool! Thanks for taking the time to do that.I am hoping that the cylinder fits in there like a glove. As soon as my brackets come in I will be able to try it.How do the links wear out?Do the bushings just rot away or does the steel link itself get week?
Yep, it's attached by 3 nuts under the hood and one nut and bolt through the bottom of the damper...originally posted by johnbrooke86
