LEDs last longer then Halogen bulbs do and use a weaker voltage.

Can you post a link to the bulbs you are considering? I've never seen H3 L.E.D's.

Yeah but LED's shoot a more direct beam...Not as wide of a pattern as you get from a halogen bulb...So I would think you wouldn't get as wide of illumination from a LED...But they would be more reliable. Then again I have never seen H3 LED's in person, so???

It doesn't seem as if the light output would be as bright as a traditional bulb, or an HID setup. How far can this LED project usable light on the road?

 

^^^ I doubt it'll be all that. The light output may not be too much, it'll look pretty though.

There's one in the second link. Scroll down a bit, you'll see the H3 like the one you linked (9 LED)...It's only $20 but I think that might be for 1 LED not 1 set???

Notice how you can't find a pic with the LED in a headlamp/foglamp...I just don't think they project as well or you'd see them a lot more.

HID it will. My 2 cents. If they made a 1 watt H3 i'd try that out.

They look like 6K hid but im sure they would not project enough for them to work well

Edit: yah after reading you realize its just to accompany the low beam kit so that you could match the fogs with your low beam hid kits

 

Unless someone buy's a set and tries it out, we'll never know.

Again I think thats just for looks..kind of like audi's response to BMW's Angel Eye imo..Mercedes has also done there response to it..If youve seen the new C class it has eye lids that light up (non led but dope nonetheless)

 

What if these leds are as bright as the ones on cop cars?
I say, someone give it a try nonetheless.

 

im sure they're bright but they I don't think they would project light to the driving path
