Hey. So far, I have about 90% of my car taken apart and i just CANNOT seem to find this damn Theft Warning Module.

I've taken a picture of my car, and if someone can put a big green circle to where this device is hidden, a million dollars is yours.

See the spot welded sheet metal piece on the right of the picture? It's up behind that. And IMPOSSIBLE to get the connector off of! :^)

See this:

Oh, and that's One-Hundred-MEEELION dollars based on your subject!

That's where i've been looking the entire day. I actually found that diagram you showed, but i DO appreciate your help so far!

I may have found a shocking discovery.. I found these 2 wire harnesses taped up in the area. Each harness has 2 wires, all of which are green, one being green with a yellow strip, the same color the wire i'm looking for is supposed to be. They're actually capped off, and seems like they came from the factory this way .. Does anyone recall the harnesses that went into this evil device i'm looking for, are these them?

*Out of Service* - until further notice!

By the way, I began this install during the winter, and finished it with the exception of this *alarm disarm* wire. I was never able to find it, so I put it back together until today.. SO, in other words, what you see here was done JUST for this ONE wire.

This is a desperate cry for help, so do the magic and make it happen G20 peoples.

The install is a Keyless Entry system. I've connected all the wires, and it is 99% working. I just have to connect one last wire, the ALARM DISARM WIRE, which is connected to the THEFT WARNING MODULE.

The problem I am having is that I can't find this "THEFT WARNING MODULE".. If someone would tell me where it is located, my mission would be complete :)

Well, it's up there. I've had it disconnected to hack the alarm system. It a metal box about the size of a pack of cards or so. Has a 16-ish wire harness plugged into it.

Unless the 1996 is significantly different than the 1993.5, it should be there.

You can tap into another place for the wire. You should be able to get it in the drivers or passenger kick panel. The factory disarms when you put the key into the door and turn the key to unlock. There's a switch inside the door that tells the theft module to shut off. It might be a little difficult to find it though!

Dude, it is way easier than getting to that module. In the D/S door there are three connectors, one of them has a green wire with a yellow stripe on it, thats what you're looking for. I grounded it to the door in my car to disable the alarm permanently, but you should be able to hook into it with your alarm system just the same. good luck.

remove the 10mm bolts that take the metal plates out of the underdash and I'm sure you will find it easier. it's to the left of the column

I am just finishing up my Bulldog remote starter, so I had to locate the same module myself to disable the factory alarm when I unlock the doors.

If you are a big guy or have large hands, it's probably best to go through the door harness as throwmearock suggests. The door harness comes through the firewall in a black plastic shield and through a rubber plug behind the fuse box. It is pretty busy back so be patient and careful.

If you have to, the theft warning module is located to the right of the steering column as show in the diagram above. It's a grey box that sits next to a smaller black relay. You will have to squirm under the steering column with your head against the gas pedal (take the necessary precautions). Look straight up or slightly to the left. It has over a dozen wires coming out. Look for green wire with yellow stripe. Everything I've seen so far says that this is the alarm disable wire. Check at the Bulldog site and also at 12Volt. It is tricky to work under there and you are probably going to get some cuts. I used the blue wire taps that you can buy in the automotive store. That way I didn't have to strip any wires and tape.

Still haven't hooked up the disable wire yet. The voltage looks wrong to me. It swings from 0.05V - 0.6V when the starter, trunk pop, or door locks are activated and goes back to 0.05V. I would expect it to stay high (12V and then go to ground to when the remote is activated). Also, can't get my dome light to work off the remote starter either. That line just sits low all the time. Did yours work? Hope that helps.

Correction. The theft module is black. It really sucks to get in there. I abandoned it and went to the door harness (small yellow/green wire) as someone suggested above. Muuuuch easier, but it didn't solve the problem. Alarm still goes off when the trunk pops. I think it's a poor timing issue in the Bulldog design. The wire is supposed to stay low until after the trunk is popped to fool the module that the door is open. I could probably build a small delay for the trunk relay. Perhaps a capacitor might work. Hmmm... I would like to know if anyone got it to work before I go messing with it.

Also, there is a problem with the theft warning harness. I could not find a green/yellow wire. Well, I thought I did, but it I think it is the green/orange which connects to the security lamp. If you probe this wire, the voltage follows the lamp blink. It asserts when the key is turned in the door - but in the opposite polarity. I don't think that this will work cuz the lamp is just getting grounded. I probed a few of the other green wires but I only succeeded in setting of the security horn with one of them.
